Typhoon Kong-Rey Approaching Taiwan: Citizens are Urged to Prepare for Severe Weather.
Typhoon Kong-Rey, the 21st typhoon of 2024, continues its northwestward toward Taiwan. The Central Weather Administration (CWA) issued a typhoon warning for land and sea at 5:30 AM on October 30 st. Starting today, Taipei City will be affected by the outer circulation of the typhoon, resulting in overcast weather with intermittent rain. In the evening, Taipei City will be under the land typhoon warning area. The most significant impact will occur between October 31 st and November 1 st, with the potential for extremely heavy rain in mountainous areas. The Taipei City Fire Department warned that citizens should take precautions against the typhoon, and should not go to the mountains and the coasts during the heavy rainfall and strong wind, to prevent any potential danger.
