Taipei City Fire Department

          In response to the era of digitization and in order to enhance the efficiency of emergency ambulance services and frontline disaster response capabilities, the Taipei City Fire Department has formed the "Fire Department Smart Fleet Management System Task Force" consisting of the Emergency Dispatch Center, Disaster Rescue Unit, and Emergency Medical Unit. The task force has visited private sector entities, interviewed various system manufacturers and vehicle contractors to understand the current development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, as well as the customization requirements for firefighting and disaster response. The aim is to incorporate advanced technology to improve service effectiveness.

          To foster collaboration amongst Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung City, and Taoyuan City, the Fire Department has invited the National Fire Agency, Keelung City Fire Department, New Taipei City Fire Department, Taoyuan City Government Fire Department, and various fire and ambulance vehicle manufacturers to join the discussion. In addition, five other companies, including “Taiwan Secom Co., Ltd.”, “Eupfin Technology Co., Ltd.”, “Far EasTone Telecommunications Co., Ltd.”, “Enterprise Business Group, Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd.”, and “Skyeyes Gps Technology Co., Ltd.”, have also been invited. 

          The seminar aims to discuss and exchange ideas on the practical application of the "Fire Department Smart Fleet Management System" in disaster rescue and emergency medical services. The valuable insights and suggestions provided by the participants' professional knowledge and experience will be considered for future system planning and development.
