In 2022, there were 1,552 fires in Taipei City. 617 fires (39.8%) were caused by cooking, followed by 497 fires (32%) caused by electricity. The Fire Department hope that the public should have the concept of "people leave, fire off" when cooking , and follow the principle ‘’5 don’ts and 1 no’’ when using electrical equipment: do not overload , do not bundle or break the wires , do not frequently plug and unplug the power outlets , do not pollute the plugs with moisture, do not put combustible materials nearby , and do not buy products without safety labels. For more information, you are welcome to visit the Fire Safety Museum, where there is also easy-to-understand disaster prevention knowledge for children.
