The Taipei City Fire Department's (TFD) 119 High-Performance Dispatch System, already nominated for the GO SMART Award 2023, adds another feather to its cap by receiving the "Best in Digital Policies" in the "Smart City" category at the International Data Corporation (IDC) hosted "Future Enterprise Awards." The award ceremony took place on October 19th at Humble House Taipei. TFD’s significant achievement is once again recognized by various stakeholders.

IDC is one of the leading organizations in the global telecommunications technology market research and consulting field. The "Future Enterprise Awards" is set up to recognize exceptional achievements in digital transformation, technological innovation, and the business sector. In 2023, special awards were introduced in the categories of "Smart Cities" and "Digital Native Business." Among over 150 submissions, 25 projects stood out in the Future Enterprise Awards, and TFD's "119 High-Efficiency Dispatch System" received commendation from the judging panel on its first submission, a truly remarkable achievement.

The TFD developed the 119 High-Performance Dispatch System to handle the large number of cases in Taipei every year. It took 3 years to build the system, which officially launched on January 1, 2022. According to statistics from January to September 2023, it has handled approximately 100,000 cases, with an average of around 1,000 incoming calls to 119 daily. The system can handle multiple types of reports, as well as allowing precise information management and visualization, real-time detection of location, and digital information transmission. It can also integrate with the Transportation Department's Changeable Message Sign (CMS) system to remind citizens to avoid disaster areas and routes, and thus improves the quality and efficiency of emergency response and rescue services. The department continues to import advanced technologies to create a fast and effective fire and rescue service, aiming to create a livable and safe smart city for its citizens.
