2023 Taipei City Fire Camp Registration Starts from June 14th!

In order to provide a learning platform for children to acquire disaster prevention knowledge and skills during summer vacation, Taipei City Fire Department will hold the “2023 Taipei City Fire Camp” at Fire Safety Museum (No. 376, Sec. 2, Chenggong Rd., Neihu Dist., Taipei City) from July 4th to 21st (every Tuesday to Friday). There will be a total of 12 sessions, including 3 sessions for parent-child participation, allowing parents to accompany their children in learning together. Registration for this event will open on Wednesday, June 14th at 10 AM and will close on Wednesday, June 21st at 4 PM (registration may close earlier if the quota is filled). The camp is free of charge, and registration will be conducted online via the following website:

This event is open to elementary school students in grades 1 to 4 who are registered or studying in Taipei City (grade level based on the 111th academic year; for students who are not registered or studying in Taipei City, at least one parent or guardian must be registered in Taipei City). There are 120 reserved slots for low-income families, children from middle to low-income households, and children from disadvantaged groups such as child welfare institutions. These slots can be reserved through a dedicated phone line (02-23711226 ext. 272) until 10 AM on June 26th. If there are remaining slots, they will be open for general public registration on the registration webpage starting at 11 AM on June 26th.

Fire Department states that in the morning session, firefighters will provide instruction on fire reporting techniques, self-rescue and emergency response skills, earthquake response, and drowning prevention. They will also introduce the "Video Call 119 App," "First On Scene App," "Taipei City Disaster Prevention App," and "Disaster Preparedness Taipei " e-books. Through simulated scenarios such as smoke-filled fire scenes, severe shaking during earthquakes, and drowning, children will gain hands-on experience and acquire disaster prevention skills. In the afternoon, there will be fun firefighting games to incorporate disaster prevention knowledge and skills into group activities, allowing children to deepen their understanding of disaster prevention. This year, disaster prevention handicrafts have also been added, enabling children to learn disaster prevention through hands-on creation and become firefighting heroes who can help themselves and others.

The Fire Department urges parents to pay attention to the online registration opening time due to the high demand for registration each year. Please register your child as early as possible. Let your child have a fulfilling and meaningful summer vacation. In the event of unforeseen circumstances during the event period (such as typhoons, floods, pandemics, etc.) that may prevent the activities from taking place, participants will be notified via phone.
