The Taipei City Fire Department held the completion ceremony for the newly established Yangmingshan Station at No.1 Shengli Street, Beitou District on April 18th, 2018 at 10:00 am. Disaster prevention and rescue effectiveness would be greatly improved in the Yangmingshan area. 
The new Yangmingshan Station, located in the Yangmingshan National Park, is responsible for firefighting, disaster prevention, emergency, and mountain search and rescue work in the Yangmingshan area. The old and original Yangmingshan Station had existed for 60 years, and the obsolete facilities rendered it unsuitable to be used. In order to improve the standard of living and working condition for fellow firefighters and strengthen the disaster relief capabilities in the area, the Taipei City Fire Department reconstructed the station at the original site and built new fire halls two levels above and below ground floor. Through the active contribution of legislators, village chiefs and others passionate individuals, the Yangmingshan Station was successfully renovated. Its emergency rescue, disaster relief performance and services to the public will be more comprehensive than in the past.
The renovated Yangmingshan Station now has new office facilities and both interior and exterior duty standby and training spaces. Mountain accident search and rescue center is established on basement level 1. Not only does it serve as the emergency dispatch center for mountain-related incidents, the spacious ground can also be used as training and supply storage facility. The search and rescue capability and quality are raised to an advanced level and supports can be provided to cities and counties outside of the Taipei City.
According to the Taipei City Fire Department, the new Yangmingshan Station was designed and rebuilt to cope with the rich natural landscapes of its location, the Yangmingshan National Park. The fire station’s unique cabin-like appearance fits in well with the hilly environment. In addition, as the Yangmingshan area serves as a tourist spot, the Yangmingshan Station has arranged designated resting area for the public. Apart from focusing on safeguarding the public’s life and property, the fire station is committed to promoting friendly services to the citizens.
