Taipei City Fire Department proposed the "Paramedic Lights, Safety Bonus" initiative, which received the Excellent Improvement Award for creative proposals from the Taipei City Government in 2023. Emergency responders used ingenuity, drawing inspiration from tourniquets, to improve the "Biodynamic Lighting Fixture". This lighting fixture is placed on the limbs of personnel, forming the concept of "Biodynamic Warning" and allowing frontline emergency responders to use it immediately upon arrival at the scene. This lighting fixture not only ensures the safety of emergency responders but also effectively accelerates the response time of the public to the accidents, allowing them to avoid interrupting the emergent scene instantly.

The Fire Department took the groundbreaking concept of "Biodynamic Lighting Fixture" into account and altered the clothing design from a simple reflective design to a more intuitive light warning. We conducted a literature review and searched for a low-cost and highly effective way to modify and improve the functionality and practicality of the clothing design. This not only increases the safety of paramedics at accident scenes but also changes passive safety to active warning.

The Fire Department emphasized that there are many unpredictable situations at accident scenes. If we can effectively increase the recognition of colleagues, we can provide immediate warnings to the public, which enhances the safety of life and property for the public and avoids dangers. The Fire Department values the safety of colleagues on duty. Moreover, to solve the problems, colleagues are also encouraged to turn small innovations into significant benefits by adjusting the process and execution techniques. This creates a more friendly working environment and allows all citizens to feel the humane care and high-quality municipal services provided by the city government.
